Covino & Rich Show Recap: 6-15-17

Covino & Rich –  Thursday, 6/15/17

Show Topics

  • Rich is annoyed with himself – Rich took his mother-in-law to the airport and was loading up his wife’s car. While putting luggage in the car, he put the key to his car and his wallet on the roof of the car. Two blocks away from his house, he came to a stop his wallet slid down the windshield. Luckily, he didn’t lose his wallet but he did lose the key fob to his car. It’s going to cost $500 to replace and he’s annoyed. It would have almost been better to lose his wallet because he would just cancel his cards and get new ones.
  • Spot has good news – Rich spilled the beans to everyone in the office before Spot got the call, he is going to be on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire! Spot is very excited but really nervous – he doesn’t want to be one of the game show blunders that goes viral. Rich wants Spot at the very least  get to the 50k mark. The guys can’t think of anyone who is more deserving of the chance to win a ton of money.

  • Gene Simmons is trying to trademark the devil horns – Rich thinks this is just dumb, he isn’t a fan of him at all. Spot says that Rich just doesn’t understand Simmons. Kiss revolutionized the way rock bands merchandise and make money in that sense. None of the guys are huge Kiss fans and think this whole think is kind of silly.

  • Sex scandal teacher – more photos of a hot, young teacher that slept with three of her high school students. Rich argues that because it is a teenage boy engaging with a female teacher – it’s not as bad. It’s much worse when a male teacher sleeps with a female student. The discuss the double standard in these situations and discuss how because a teenage male would willingly walk into this situation and whether or not it’s even possible for a man to be raped. Listeners call in with their own stories of sleeping with teachers or having been molested by adult women while they were teenagers.

  • Friend in need – Listener reaches out because of a close friend of hers that is stuck in an on again-off again relationship. Everyone likes the guy, but they’ve broken up multiple times and the break ups have been mainly initiated by the guy. Can these types of relationships end well or are they doomed? Rich reflects on his own experiences in on again-off again relationships and how those relationships were not meant to work out. For a tumultuous relationship like this one, both parties really have to be on the same level of maturity and willing to work really hard to resolve whatever issues are behind the multiple break ups. It is possible, but whether or not it’s worth it is dependent on the particular couple.
