Covino & Rich— Monday, 4/29/19
- Last night’s episode of Game of Thrones was the highly anticipated ‘Battle of Winterfell’ and while many people watched, it’s still too early to spoil it. Basically, there was a very large battle in which some of our favorite characters unfortunately died. The other big entertainment story from the weekend was Avengers: Endgame, which made over a billion dollars at the box office and had everyone raving about it. Do you think people judge celebrities who make millions from these movies the same way they do an athlete? It seems like there is a slight double standard when it comes to stuff like that.
- It seems like the baby boomer generation had an easy upbringing, and they love to judge the millennial generation for being spoiled. The cost of living has clearly changed though in the past 20-30 years, and while housing and rental costs have gone up, the amount that people make at their careers tends to stay the same. How are you supposed to achieve the American Dream if that dream is so far beyond your price range?
- Rich feels like he is experiencing ‘dad brain’ because he’s been forgetting trivial things and misplacing his stuff everywhere. This morning he almost walked into the wrong studio, and over the weekend he couldn’t find his wallet anywhere in Las Vegas, and it turned out to have been in his bag the whole time. Is ‘dad brain’ a real thing, or is that just your body’s way of telling you that you’re overworking it? Maybe Rich should hire an assistant to deal with the smaller things, that way he can focus on the bigger picture.
- Rich went to Las Vegas this weekend with Spot, Jake, and a few friends to celebrate a birthday. While in Vegas the guys made quite a few memories, that included gambling, eating out, and going to the popular strip club ‘Sapphire’. It was Jake’s first time in Vegas, so the guys wanted to make sure he had a full experience. Rich’s big observation from the trip was that there really are two different types of girls at the strip club, ones who are there because they like it, and others who are there because they need to be. In his opinion, the ones who have more fun with it end up making more money because they attract you with their personality.
