Covino & Rich Show Recap: Thursday 2-8-18

Covino & Rich— Thursday, 2/8/18

Show Topics

  • Rogers was the realest dude in the neighborhood back in the 80s and 90s. He was the guy everyone trusted, and set the standard for kid’s shows at the time. There were so many shows on during that time period that were based off of that format, the kids genre was dominated with puppets and painters like Bob Ross.

  • Rich is having shoulder pains once again and he doesn’t know why. He’s tried everything from resting the muscle, getting a shot for the inflammation, using eastern medicine and seeing a holistic medicine doctor. The newest treatment he’s tried is cryotherapy, which was an interesting experience. It began cold but not bad, and by the end all you want is to jump out of the chamber into a hot shower. Is he aggravating the injury by continuing to exercise though? Or is it alright as long as he stays away from shoulder exercises? Self-diagnosis is a dangerous game to play with a sports related injury though, so maybe he should just go get an MRI.

  • There’s a lot of random news out there today. They found the DNA of what was believed to be a caveman in the UK and have recreated what they believe he looked like 10,000 years ago when he was alive. Keanu Reeves apparently gave a homeless man a bag full of cash after he told him what his life was like. Russell Wilson is playing spring baseball for the New York Yankees, and Tim Tebow is playing for the Mets. Morgan Freeman and Peter Dinklage had the best Super Bowl commercial, and we want to know why more homeless people don’t go into stores with free samples to get a free meal.
  • There’s going to be a Charmed reboot coming out, and the biggest change is that one of the three main characters is going to be a lesbian. The person who has the most issue with that though is the actress who played the original character. Also, related to Charmed, Rose McGowan did an interview recently about the Me Too movement and criticized her co-star Alyssa Milano for comments she made about men in Hollywood. She comes across as very strange in the interview though, and even seems to sound like Liam Neeson’s character from Taken.

  • A friend in need comes up regarding bringing another woman into the bedroom with your wife or significant other. Where does the line come up? Like should you explore it with your wife first, or let her take the lead. Also, is it a bad sign if your wife wants something to spice up the relationship? Does that mean your relationship is dying? How do you know your wife won’t ask to start bringing other men into the bedroom, or run away with the other woman? One listener brings up the fact that the bedroom is like a jungle and we’re all just animals with animal instincts; if that’s the case Rich thinks he’s a Sex Narwhal.
