The Covino & Rich Show

Hey C&R listeners, this is Alex the “intern” giving you an update on today’s show.

The show started off on a sad note as C&R brought up Andrew Koenig (”Boner” from “Growing Pains”)’s untimely death. In honor of him, C&R ask for people’s best boner stories. Covino tells a story in which his mother awkwardly asked him why his penis was stiff. Rich brings up more embarrassing stories for Covino and Covino reminds him that there are a lot of women,  including Layla and his mother, who are listening.

Covino says that when Barnando was younger and not a stoner, he used to be really hyper and run around with a boner in sweatpants. There were videos around of it and people around town would call him “Big Barry Banana Pants”. At first Covino thought this would be a bad thing for him but women were ultimately impressed by the banana. A caller suggests that a TickleSac song be made called “Boner in Sweatpants”.

C&R bring up a cool fact from Penn and Teller which says that if you want to pass a lie-detector test, squeeze your asshole when you tell the truth and do nothing when you lie. This is because it will equalize your heart rate so their is no difference between your lying rate and your truth telling rate.

Rich saw a film called “The Mist” last night and thought it was a really weird movie. Callers agree that it was a very strange film. Covino says he saw “The Hurt Locker” and didn’t like it very much. A caller, who was a former soldier, agrees with him. I say nothing but secretly think that “The Hurt Locker” was the best film of the year.

Baseball Coach Ozzie Guillen has been using Twitter like a madman and C&R read some of his hilarious tweets throughout the day. The White Sox are embarrassed by him but Rich says he’s the best thing that’s ever happened to The White Sox.

News Alert: Two flight attendents on a flight to Rochester got into a fist fight and the pilot kicked everyone off the plane.

C&R bring up a redheaded woman on American Idol who refused to take no for an answer from the judges. Despite her pleading, however, she was eventually eliminated from the show. Covino says that you should never take no for an answer, whether it be for a girl or a job. Rich disagrees and says that in some cases you should just accept a negative answer. He gives an example of a producer who doesn’t want to meet with him and points out that someone like this would not be a good prospective producer because they aren’t passionate enough. Covino points out that the guy has nothing to be passionate about if you don’t force him to meet with you in the first place.

Layla calls in to agree with Covino and express her disappointment with Rich’s point of view. She says that you should always say yes and never say no because as long as you keep trying, someone will give you a chance. She cites P. Diddy as an example and says that he once worked as a coffee boy in an office. Rich says that for every P Diddy, there are a thousand try hards who just annoy people. Covino says one should not be delusional about one’s ability like the American Idol girl but if you’ve got talent, you should make sure people know it. In the end C&R do not fully agree with on another.

C&R talk to Jake Strasburger who works at the Olympics. He says that there is lots of debauchery at this year’s Olympics but there’s nothing wrong with it because so many of the athletes are complete studs. He also points out that it isn’t fair that a back up place kicker in the NFL makes more money than Olympic skiers who are truly elite athletes.

Rich reads a letter from a guy named Jeremy who wants to know if he should confront his neighbor because his neighbor scratched his car while trying to do him a favor and snow blow his lawn. Should he ask him for money even though he was doing him a favor in the first place? Covino says absolutely, he didn’t ask for the favor so now he has to fix his damn car.

Hey guys! This is Jayson, one of the interns for The Covino & Rich show, and this is what happened today on the show!

The show started off with Rich once again talking about how he wants to live in LA, and that he’s tired of New York and the winter. Then the guys began to talk about Hot Tub Time Machine. A movie that is slated to come out this march that’s featuring John Cusack. Speaking on the subject of movies Covino began to feel a little upset, because he feels that Notorious (the Biggie Smalls movie) was under rated. He doesn’t understand why the fat chick from Precious is getting all the fame, and recognition, when the guy that played Biggie doesn’t. He feels that they should be equally recognized.

Next, was Rich and Covino talking about the Sea World trainer that died. The guys were talking about how the whale had killed two trainers before, and how the owners of the whale is considering killing the whale. Covino and Rich were saying well duh! That should be the only option or to let the whale go in the wild. Rich said that his co host on the morning mash up Stanley T said that he would buy a black ninja suit and take the whale out. Callers call in and talk about this.

The next thing they spoke about was television shows, shows like American Idol. Rich was saying how American Idol this season is weak. He says the singers are horrible, and the show its self has lost it. Then Covino went on to talk about how the world LOL really means that I don’t care. Then Covino went on to talk about the show Silent Library on MTV. Both of the guys were saying how the show is low budget.

Next was the topic of sports. The guys were asking the listening audience what is Squash? Callers called in and told them what the game was. Covino then asked should ESPN be covering Squash? Then he also asked why are sports being so pussified. Callers call in and give their thoughts about this.

The guys then come back and talk about 90’s rock bands. Then Covino changed the subject saying that he wish players in any sport had more heart about the game. Then the guys started reminiscing again about 90’s music. Then, they asked a question they asked was 90’s music good back then just because we grew up during the time, or was it really good? Callers then call in and talk about this question. Then the guys started playing music trivia, about songs Rich heard at his graduation, or when he first started driving. Callers called in and tried to figure out these songs.

Then the last thing they talked about was Rich preparing for his wedding. Rich was saying how he doesn’t talk to his family, but he’s having them in his wedding. Then Rich started to talk about his family, and how since he’s the oldest, he feels that he has to be the one who pays the tab for everybody every time they go out. Callers call in and talk about this to.

Hey guys what’s going on! This is Jayson one of the interns for the Covino and Rich show, and this is your official update of today’s show!

The show began with a recap of what happened on Tuesdays show about how Chris Harrison was there, and topics they discussed. Then they went on with Rich saying how he was a deviant and gets super excited about people when they talk about their sexual stories. When callers began to call in Rich kept asking stories about peoples sex stories like  a little kid, which was very annoying. Then Rich went on to give the listening audience an Alf update. The dad on Alf was apparently caught at a crack house a few years ago. C&R were saying that the dad was a homeless crack head, who is gay.  

Next, Rich kept talking about how he loves the tv show the bachelor. He basically did a recap for the show in case you missed it last night saying that the episode last night was very good. All the women were in something like a tell all episode. Rozlyn claimed that she wasn’t hooking up with the producer, even though all the girls saw her do it, but she swore up and down even on her sons like that she didn’t. Then Rich said something that the guest on the show yesterday Chris Harrison said in the case of Rozlyn, sometimes the simplest answer is the truth.

After the break, the guys had a cheating slow jam remix featuring Tiger Woods. It was pretty hilarious. Then the subject moved from Tiger Woods to the artist Drake. Rich was wondering how he moved from the Canadian show Degrassi basically a rip off version of Saved by the Bell to an rapper. Callers call in an weigh in on this also. Next, Rich talked about his bridal party dilemma. Him and his girl Sara are in a bind because Rich wants more people in the wedding that Sara. He thinks that it is stupid to limit the amount of people in a wedding, Spot and Covino think Rich is wrong for limiting.

After the break, the guys still are on the topic of Rich’s wedding dilemma, but to the guys surprise Rich’s fiancée Sara calls up and gets upset. Then after Sara calls up another woman calls up and says think about if you were to die right now, who would carry your casket, that’s who should be your groomsmen, and she made a very good point.

So after the guys take a break and come back they talked about a few minor news alerts that were going or is happening. They talked about how Betty white might be hosting Saturday Night Live thanks to a facebook group, the Chargers release Iadanian Tomlinson. Then the guys talked about how Facebook might start charging 3.99 per month for usage. Then they asked if Facebook were to start charging would they still use it. After the break, the guys were still taking callers calls on this and giving their opinion on it also.

Then the guys went on to talk about some Pussification of America Stories. They talked about Scotty Lago, the Olympic snowboarder, who took a picture with his bronze medal around his waist and his girl pretending to suck it. The effects of this incident was people wanted him to leave the Olympics. Hes a 22 year old dude, should he be doing this stuff? Callers call in and give their views. Then they talked about denim jeans that look like pajama pants. C&R were saying how its lazy and swoot. Lol

Hey Guys! This is Jayson one of the interns and this is your official update for the Covino & Rich show today!

The show began with this weird Russian song playing. The whole topic of why we think the song was weird was brought into question, and then C&R asked the question, “Do other countries think our music is weird?” Callers called in and give their views on this issue. Most callers said they don’t because most artists that are out today are from America, and they get marketed all around the world.

Next, was Rich was talking about how he wants to go to LA, and that he feels that he would be happy there and that he wants to make a permanent stay out there, because he’s over New York. This brought a very interesting question to Rich’s mind, “Do you think that you can live in the same place for the rest of your life?” Callers call in a weigh their opinion on this issue, then C&R were saying how it is easier to move now, then it was back then because of cheap flights, movers, etc.

Next, Chris Harrison from the bachelor was the in studio guest today. He talked about the show and stuff that happens on the show. Next, was C&R was trying to figure out the lyrics to Wind of Change by Scorpion.

Next, was BONER WATCH 2010. C&R and spot talked about how Andrew Koening aka boner stabbone from Growing Pains was missing. Next, they started talking about some of the tv stars from the past and where were they now.

Next, was how Covino was saying that this past weekend he saw the movie hurt locker. He said it sucked, and Rich agreed, he said that he saw those two movies with Anna Paquin Couples retreat and Trick o Treat, and they both sucked.

Next, was how they guys were talking about the VH1 tv show Tool Academy 3. They were talking about how the girl on there was a slut, because she was saying how she was working at a tanning salon and accidently fell on a dudes cock. C&R asked how the callers would react to this. Callers call in a give their views on this. Then they asked how you would react if your girl was hooking up with random dudes. Guys call up and give their views on this issue. Then it was the end of the show.
